THE BACK

THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
Osteopathic treatment encourages the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluid, so it can help relieve symptoms associated with circulatory disorders of the lower and upper limbs, including migraines, heavy legs and venous congestion. Osteopathic techniques can help with drainage of oedema.
MATERNITY
Being pregnant and the period after childbirth can cause lower back, coccygeal, sacroiliac and pubic joint pain. Osteopathic treatment is very gentle and subtle, but remains very effective in this period when the body is in a context of permanent change.
CHILDREN & INFANTS
Infants often suffer from regurgitation, colic, nervousness and sleep disturbances, skull asymmetry, which may be independent or a result of the after-effects of birth. Children can suffer from wearing braces, thumb sucking, and rapid growth phases can lead to problems such as muscle imbalances or Osgood Schlatter’s disease in the knees. Older children, with increasingly important homework assignments, may suffer from headaches and neck pain due to poor study posture.
EVERYDAY ISSUES
Stress, anxiety, sleep problems and difficulty relaxing are common conditions these days, which can lead to depressive states. Osteopathic treatment may be indicated in the management of these types of symptoms – and it does not use medications.
